About RiseUpToHIV · Community & Voices Rising

Built to last.
A dream 16 years in the making.

Education, community, and resources are at the heart of RiseUpToHIV. Independent, self-funded, and built in Tampa Bay, FL, the site grew from Kevin’s 16+ years of living with HIV and more than a decade of advocacy and community work.

What began as a Florida care locator has grown into a wider home for learning and connection. The community will help shape what comes next—through the stories people choose to share, the questions they ask, and the feedback that guides future versions. Our Policy hub supports nonpartisan learning and self-advocacy, with links to organizations leading broader campaigns.

Undetectable = Untransmittable. A person living with HIV who takes treatment as prescribed and maintains an undetectable viral load cannot sexually transmit HIV.[3] Across HPTN 052, PARTNER, and Opposites Attract, researchers recorded no linked transmissions from a partner with a durably suppressed viral load.[4]
